A man’s badly decomposed body was discovered through a tract road in the Queens Cove area on Grand Bahama on Thursday afternoon.
It is unclear if the man was murdered but police officers are treating his death as “suspicious” for the time being.
The body was discovered shortly after 4pm. A resident stumbled across the body and alerted police.
Due to the advanced state of decomposition, investigators will need a pathologist report to determine the cause of death and the man’s identity.
It is the second body found on Grand Bahama in recent weeks. A man’s decomposed body was discovered in his home in Deadman’s Reef last month after neighbors reported smelling a disturbing odor.
