Decomposed body found in home in Deadman’s Reef
Updated: Nov 16
A strong odor coming from a three-bedroom home in Deadman’s Reef Section F led to the discovery of a man’s decomposing body in that Grand Bahama community on Monday night.
Police are treating the man’s death as “suspicious.”
Shocked residents stood outside the house past curfew as the body was inspected and removed from the scene.
“Officers entered the residence and discovered the body of a male lying on the ground. Apparent rigor mortis had already set in and this scene is now considered a suspicious death,” according to police.
It is unclear how long the body was inside the home before it was discovered.
A physician from the West End clinic was on the scene in addition to a team of police officers who launched an investigation to determine how the man died.
