An Appeal Court affirmed the conviction and sentence of a drug mule who pushed a cocaine-filled condom into her vagina after she didn’t show up for her appeal.
Camille Mackey’s appeal was listed for today, but according to jail records she had already completed her 18-month sentence.
Mackey, 40, of Nassau Village was sentenced in January 2018.
She had been recruited by a dealer, known as “Uncle”, to transport the cocaine from Nassau to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
But the smuggling plot unraveled when U.S Customs Officers chose Mackey for a secondary search.
She was arrested after they found the condom filled with 10 ounces of cocaine.
