A corrupt policeman has been allowed to keep his job. The Police Tribunal today fined 3382 Butterfield two weeks’ pay after convicting him of receiving a bribe.

Butterfield was working at the Drug Enforcement Unit when the incident occurred.

While people are getting criminal records for breaking curfew and selling coconuts, National

Security Minister Marvin Dames has allowed a criminal to remain on the Police Force.

The FNM government campaigned on an anti-corruption platform.

Members of the former government were dragged to court in handcuffs on trumped up charges.

But Dames is allowing a convicted criminal cop to retain the power to stop, search and arrest.
