Charges dropped in stripper robbery

Charges have been dismissed against a stripper and two men accused of robbery.

Magistrate Samuel McKinney discharged Mya Smith, her boyfriend Demetrius Bastian, and Kelito Johnson after the prosecution said the alleged robbery victim was no longer interested in pursuing the case.

The man went to police after he was beaten up and robbed at a motel on September 10, 2020.

He had allegedly gone to the motel for a “private dance” with Smith, whom he had met at a strip club earlier.

The man alleged that Smith set up Bastian and Johnson to rob him of $3,000 and chain, worth $150.

Police recovered the stolen items.
