Cardinals sign Freeport teen Adari Grant to minor league contract





The St. Louis Cardinals has agreed to terms with Grand Bahama native Adari Grant, who was among 15 international signings announced by the legendary baseball team.


Grant, a free agent player who turned 17 this month, was described by the team as an “athletic middle infielder with offensive upside”.


Since 2019, the Cardinals have signed players from nine countries, including The Bahamas.


Grant is subject to final contract approvals from the Office of the Commissioner and will be assigned to the Dominican Summer League Cardinals. M



The Freeport teen and the other 14 signees will be eligible to play this year.


The St. Louis Cardinals are an American professional baseball team based in St. Louis, Missouri.


IElite Sports Baseball will sign Grant on Monday at Pelican Bay Hotel.
