Founder of Freedom Farm Baseball League Greg Burrows Sr. has been named Babe Ruth Baseball Commissioner for the Caribbean. This includes The Bahamas, Curaçao, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, St Kitts, Mexico and Bermuda.

Burrows, who has made a tremendous contribution to the development of baseball in The Bahamas, was appointed to this prestigious position by Babe Ruth Baseball Inc., the base organization.

“ I now have the wider responsibility to develop baseball under the Babe Ruth banner thoughout the Caribbean. I am especially honored and proud to have been appointed to this position and I am committed to ensuring that the Bahamas continues to be showcased in the sport of baseball,” Burrows said.

Through Freedom Farm, Burrows has mentored thousands of young athletes, not only teaching them the fundamentals of the game and connecting them with professional athletes but also hitting home the importance of discipline and integrity.

The program has achieved international successes with the placement of young men in high schools and colleges in the United States. A number of these young men are currently playing in Baseball’s Minor & Major Leagues.

His new position is a home run for the local baseball community.
