Houston, Texas authorities are said to be investigating why a Bahamian student living in that state was gunned down. The shooting happened just outside Kani Rahming’s 2600 Lazy Hollow Drive apartment Friday, September 18th, around 10pm. Reports indicate that Rahming was at home with a female friend when an unknown assailant threw a rock through the window. According to the female, Rahming went outside to investigate and was shot several times about the body some five minutes later. He died after being rushed to Ben Taub hospital.
Houston police say they have no leads in this slaying and are appealing to anyone who may have any information to come forward.
Kani Rahming was a native of Grand Bahama. His mother, Karis Rolle Rahming, is a well-known hair stylist on that northern island.
