The Royal Bahamas Police Force has released the autopsy results for Dinari McAlmont, a tourist from Bowie, Maryland, who was found dead near the Atlantis Bahamas resort on Paradise Island on Saturday morning.

The post-mortem examination revealed that McAlmont's cause of death was drowning.

However, authorities are still awaiting the results of a forensic toxicology analysis to determine if any substances played a role in his death.

While investigations are ongoing, police have stated that foul play is not suspected at this time.

McAlmont, who had arrived in the Bahamas with his family on Friday, April 4, had been staying at the resort with his parents.

His mother, Michelle McAlmont, expressed concern after being shown a photo of her son’s face by authorities, noting that it appeared he had been beaten.

The case is still under investigation, and the matter will be forwarded to His Majesty's Coroner for further review.
