An 11-year-old girl on Grand Bahama died tragically on Wednesday afternoon when a vehicle she was a passenger in was involved in a deadly crash.
The accident happened around 4pm on Grand Bahama Highway just east of the University of the Bahamas.
A man was speeding in a champagne GMC Yukon on Grand Bahama Highway and attempted to overtake another vehicle when he lost control of his vehicle and it overturned.
All occupants were ejected from the vehicle and were seriously injured.
The little girl was pronounced dead on the scene.
EMS personnel were called to the scene and four of the passengers were taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital by ambulance. They are listed in serious condition.
