Mother abandons four young kids for Bahamas cruise

A mother of four is facing child neglect charges after police said she left her children, including a two-month-old baby, home alone while she took a three-day cruise to The Bahamas.

Nathalie Belizaire, 29, faces four counts of child neglect after officers found her children without adult supervision inside their North Miami Beach apartment on September 26.

The father of Belizaire’s two-month-old child became concerned after seeing what appeared to be a Carnival Cruise Line ticket on Belizaire’s social media.

When he contacted her, she allegedly told him she planned to leave the children in the care of their great-grandmother while she was away.

Police said that did not happen.

The arrest report states that officers responding to the apartment on September 26 found the four children inside without an adult present. The children included the two-month-old infant.

Investigators determined that Belizaire had travelled on a three-day Carnival cruise to The Bahamas.

Belizaire was subsequently arrested and charged. The case remains pending.
