A man who allegedly tried to kidnap a girl as she walked on the street has been denied bail.
Prosecutors say Cheguvera Moxey, 41, of High Vista, tried to pull the 17-year-old into his truck on Father Calnan Road on November 20.
Moxey, a carpenter, was not required to enter a plea to the charge of attempted kidnapping when he made his initial court appearance.
Moxey returns to court on February 8, 2021. That’s when prosecutors hope to fast-track the case to the Supreme Court for trial.
