A conman has admitted to posing as a bail bondsman and swindling a woman out of $3,000.

Antwan Sands charged D’Haska Gilcud the money to post bail for her brother Billy Antoine, who is accused of the September 28 shooting murder of Andre Kikivarakis in Abaco.

The problem is, Sands isn’t qualified to sign bail due to his criminal history.

Sands has prior convictions for fraud and for molesting two minor boys.

As a result, the family had to get someone else to sign Antoine’s bail.

Sands pleaded guilty to fraud by false pretenses.

He was ordered to repay the $3,000 and pay a fine of $3,000 to avoid spending three months behind bars.
