A Canadian man has been remanded to prison over claims that he raped an American tourist at Atlantis, Paradise Island Resort.
Prosecutors allege that Wayne McCann, 28, of Ontario, raped the 21-year-old woman on May 26.
McCann was not required to enter a plea to the rape charge when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans.
Prosecutors intend to fast track his case to the Supreme Court with a voluntary bill of indictment on August 4.
He will remain in custody unless he’s granted bail by a judge of the Supreme Court.
