A tragic start to the week as a man was shot and killed on Deveaux Street around 8am Monday.
Residents reported waking up to the sounds of gunshots as a gunman opened fire on the victim and fled the scene.
It seems the victim was shot in the upper body. An ambulance is on the scene but the man was pronounced dead and his body is lying on the ground as police search the scene for evidence and speak with residents.
This morning’s murder comes four days after a man’s body was found in Yellow Elder Gardens.
