An alleged serial rapist met his teen victims on Facebook.
Prosecutors say Latario Clarke, 35, of Misty Gardens, lured the the six teens, ages 14 through 17, to remote locations where he raped them.
Clarke’s rape spree allegedly began on May 6, 2020 and ended on January 9.
Clarke is charged with unlawful sexual intercourse regarding the statutory rape of a 14-year-old on May 6, 2020.
Then, he allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl on June 4, 2020.
On June 21, Clarke allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl on June 21, 2020.
Prosecutors say on August 22 Clarke raped a 15-year-old girl.
He’s also accused of raping a 15-year-old on November 22, 2020.
On January 9, 2021, Clarke allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl.
In addition to the rape charges, Clarke is accused of stealing a 14-year-old girl from a grocery store this month.
He’s also accused of obstruction of justice.
Prosecutors allege that he interfered with the production of evidence in a judicial proceeding between July and October 2020.
Clarke didn’t have to enter pleas to the charges when he appeared before Magistrate Subusola Swain.
He was denied bail and returns to court on April 7.
