A female police reservist had to be airlifted from Eleuthera to New Providence with severe head injuries last night after a female suspect reportedly escaped from a police Jeep in Governor’s Harbour.
Relatives say Reserve Sergeant Melinda Pratt is clinging to life.
Pratt reportedly accompanied a male police officer to transport the suspect on Saturday night. However, the female offender managed to jump from the back of the Jeep.
The male officer, who was driving, jumped out to catch the suspect and left the jeep in the middle of the road.
Relatives say they were told the female officer hopped out of her side of the Jeep and went around to move it when she got struck by another vehicle.
