A 15-year-old boy is currently on remand at the Simpson Penn School For Boys after he was accused of robbing a beauty supply store in Andros.
Prosecutors say the juvenile, whose identity has been withheld, robbed Melony Colebrooke while armed with a silver and black 9mm with its serial number erased.
They claim that on August 28 the teenager robbed Janae’s Beauty Supply store of $80, and took Colebrooke’s wallet, which contained $200, and two Alcatel cellphones worth a total value of $180.
Prosecutors allege that Kirk Evans, shown in burgundy top, abetted the teen in the commission of the crime.
They were not required to enter pleas to the charges at their arraignment before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes.
He remanded Evans, 20, of Lowe Sound, Andros, to prison.
Additionally, prosecutors claim that police recovered the gun used in the armed robbery. Police allegedly caught Montell Campbell, 24, of Lowe Sound, Andros, with the weapon.
Campbell denied this and was remanded to prison.
All suspects return to court on November 3.
