Police shoot man caught breaking into house

Police officers shot a man moments ago on Charles Vincent Road.

Officers were in the area, south of Balfour Avenue, responding to reports of a house breaking when they encountered the suspect.

Officers shot the man and called Emergency Medical Services personnel who transported him to the hospital.

The suspect is currently receiving medical attention under police guard.

His current condition is unknown.
