Cabinet Ministers test negative

The Cabinet Ministers who were directly exposed to Environment Minister Romauld Ferreira during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday September 29, have tested negative for COVID-19, according to a statement from Cabinet Office.

However, those Ministers will continue to self-quarantine for the required 14-day period.

To the chagrin of his cabinet colleagues, Ferreira showed up to cabinet last week, knowing he had been exposed to a positive Covid-19 case during a Ministry of Environment press conference.

Instead of isolating, Ferreira continued to interact with the public only to find out days later he was infected with COVID-19.

Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis was not directly exposed to Ferreira and was not required to quarantine.

However, Minnis was also tested for COVID-19. He tested negative, according to Cabinet Office.
